This Privacy Policy explains how CSVFixKit (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a project operated by HK Smart Tools, handles technical data, cookies, and information when you access and use our website at https://csvfixkit.com.

We are committed to user privacy by architectural design. Because CSVFixKit is built as a client-side web application, file diagnosis, parsing, hashing, and repairing occur completely inside your device's web browser environment. We do not store, view, copy, or retain any contents of the CSV files you inspect.

2. Information We Collect and Process

A. CSV File Content

We do not collect or transmit your CSV file content. When you select or drag a file into the studio, it is accessed through standard browser APIs (HTML5 File and Blob APIs) and evaluated within client-side Web Workers. No file data is sent across the network.

B. Standard Server Log Data

Like virtually all web hosts, the static web servers hosting this site may automatically record standard technical log entries when you request pages. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser user-agent string, operating system type, referring URL, and the timestamp of page requests. These server logs are maintained by our hosting provider for security auditing, DDoS mitigation, and system reliability.

C. Analytics and Advertising (Currently Disabled)

CSVFixKit currently uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. We do not track visitors across sessions or across websites. Only a local theme preference is stored in the browser (essential, no consent needed). If analytics or advertising is added later, visitors will be asked for consent first and this policy will be updated.

CSVFixKit currently uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. We use browser Local Storage strictly for essential client-side application functionality:

• csvfixkit_theme: Saves your preference for Dark Mode or Light Mode (essential, no consent needed).

4. Legal Grounds Under GDPR / UK GDPR

Because we do not require account registration or store your CSV file data, we maintain no database of user records or personal identities.

CSVFixKit is designed for general audiences interested in data processing and is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Retention

Because file data is processed in client-side memory, file data is discarded immediately whenever you close or refresh your browser tab. Standard hosting server logs are routinely purged according to our infrastructure provider's standard retention cycles (typically 30 days or less).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
